On August 1st, more than 50 artists exhibited works together at a
one-night event in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan
people’s nonviolent resistance to Chinese occupation.
50X50 Art for Tibet featured a diverse group of international artists
from Boston, Kathmandu, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco,
Tokyo, and points beyond. This was the first contemporary art show
bringing together Tibetan and non-Tibetan fine artists in support of
Tibetan freedom and independence.
Participating artists include Rostarr, David Ellis, Kenji Hirata,
