The "SFT Decade" Weekend was a great success. Ten years of Students for a Free Tibet activists reunited in New York to look back over the inspiring achievements of SFT - and the many people who made it all happen. Of course, there were too many people who couldn't be there. You were with us in spirit, and often on the movie screen or in our conversations. Promise yourself now - we'll all reunite in a free Tibet one day.
The weekend began with a roundtable discussion with three insightful panelists and dozens of smart and thoughtful participants. The evening presentation combined video and slideshows with music, stories and anecdotes, and an awards ceremony honoring some of the people who have made SFT's decade of work for Tibet possible. Dr. Robert Thurman was hoping to speak but couldn't make it - and instead sent this statement of congratulations.
On Sunday afternoon, dozens of SFTers dropped by the SFT office to hang out, chat, laugh, look at photos, and tell stories. You won't see photos from Saturday night's "after-party" because everyone was having too much fun to take any pictures (whoops).
There will be a video soon with some of the speeches and multi-media presentations. Until then, enjoy these photos from the weekend... click on any image to enlarge
