[Vancouver] Tibetan National Uprising Day

On Friday March 10, Tibetans and supporters around the world will commemorate the anniversary of the 1959 uprising against the Chinese Government’s illegal occupation of Tibet.
The People’s Liberation Army responded with force, triggering His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s flight into exile a week later.
Today Tibetans in Tibet, and those in exile around the world, continues the struggle for Tibetan identity, freedom, human rights and for the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
Join the Rally in Vancouver, at the Chinese Consulate: 3380 Granville Street, Vancouver BC, V6H 3K3.
1:00PM to 2:00PM – Rally at the Chinese Consulate, followed by Tibetan National Anthem, Canadian National Anthem, Speeches, Protest, Minute of Silence for Pawos and Pamos, Prayers, and etc
2:00PM to 3:00PM – Protest march along Granville St and Broadway, in a loop ending at the Chinese Consulate
3:00PM to 5:00PM – Protest at the Chinese Consulate
5:00PM to 6:00PM – Tea and Dinner Break
6:00PM to 8:00PM – Vigil and prayers at the Chinese Consulate
