NY, US: Grassroots Movement Building: Lessons from the Tibetan Movement

April 30 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

What is a nonviolent movement? What is a grassroots movement? How can we best work together to support one another? This grassroots skill-building workshop and discussion will focus on various tactics and strategies of a powerful movement.

Since 1959, Tibetans inside Tibet and in exile, with the support of strong allies, have led a movement to end China’s modern-day colonization and occupation of Tibet. Join this interactive workshop to learn more about the Tibetan freedom movement, and how lessons from the Tibetan movement can advance social justice in our communities and around the world.
