May 25 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
We need you at the Chinese Consulate to stand up for Tashi Wangchuk!
On Monday, Chinese courts sentenced Tashi Wangchuk to 5 years in prison on charges of “inciting separatism.” His crime: advocating for the protection of Tibetan language.
Tashi was arrested in early 2016, two months after he was featured in a New York Times video about Tibetan language education. He stood trial in January of this year for comments he had made to The Times.
Help demand justice for Tashi Wangchuk!
Organized jointly by Regional Tibetan Youth Congress of New York and New Jersey and Students for a Free Tibet.
